The key is in two pieces
Once disassembled, the instrument is split into two parts:
- Body: 49 × 36 × 10 cm. Fits inside any cabin suitcase/backpack of at least 50 × 40 × 20 cm.
- Neck: exactly 50 cm long. Fits inside a 50-55 cm tripod bag.
Result: your full handcrafted guitar can fly with you in cabin, without check-in or extra fees.
Part 1 - Cabin bag for the guitar body
Required dimensions
You need a container of minimum 50 × 40 × 20 cm. This means a full-size cabin bag, not an under-seat personal item.

One bundle, not two
You do not need to carry two separate bags. Attach the neck sleeve to the side of the backpack with compression straps or clip connectors and carry everything as one compact cabin item.
Final boarding tips
- Wrap the guitar body with a soft garment inside the bag for extra cushioning.
- Keep the neck inside a padded sleeve and firmly attached to the backpack.
- If you fly often, carry your Pullaway system certificate.
- If your guitar is not converted yet, you can ask about Pullaway transformation from 220 € for classical and flamenco guitars.
